FAMILY LAW

Experts in this regulatory area with the capacity to assist and advise their clients in the different situations and conflicts that arise within the family.

Family Law is framed within the scope of Civil Law, which regulates the main aspects of this specialty, and is complemented by a series of specific laws that have been enacted to adapt the regulation of this institution to the social reality. The family lawyers of Medina Cuadros are legal experts in this normative matter and are able to assist and advise their clients in the different situations and conflicts that occur within the family, however complex they may be: from the celebration or dissolution of a marriage with people of different nationalities, to international adoption or the rights that protect couples who, without being married, maintain a stable relationship, without forgetting the necessary knowledge of the testamentary regulations that family lawyers have to dominate.

In Medina Cuadros we have the necessary experience to advise and accompany our clients in the following situations, among others:

  • Marriage: the law establishes both the valid forms of celebration and the personal and economic effects that this legal bond implies. It also deals with crisis situations that lead to nullity, separation or dissolution of the couple, or divorce.
  • Figures similar to marriage, such as domestic partnerships or simply unions from which, although unregulated, rights and obligations arise. International marriages and unions: we are talking about couples formed by members of different nationalities and cultures, which make up a sector within Family Law with specific regulations whose casuistry -every day more frequent due to the exponential increase in immigration- is necessary for legal professionals to master.
  • Filiation: is the link between parents and children, whether matrimonial, extramarital or adopted, and also includes parental authority (relationship with unemancipated children).
  • Guardianship: set of rules relating to the care and protection of minors or incapacitated persons who are not subject to parental authority.
  • The family estate: made up of all the assets, rights and obligations that must be managed and/or, if necessary, liquidated and adjudicated in the event of death or dissolution of the marriage or separation of the domestic partner.
  • Inheritance successions within the family or even the family business.
