The benefits obtained from the collection of this charity concert that will be held in Barcelona on July 4th, will be destined for Count On Me Project, of the Enriqueta Villavecchia Children's Oncology Foundation.
Medina Cuadros Attorneys sponsors this edition 2019 and contributes his grain of sand to this charity rock concert, Rock & Law (www.rockandlaw.org). This year the profits will go to the project of support in pediatric palliative care “Count on Me” by the Enriqueta Villavecchia Foundation, that provides comprehensive and specialized assistance to children and young people affected by life-limiting illnesses.
This generous idea arose in Lisbon in 2009, where several Signatures took the initiative to oorganize a charity concert in which groups formed by lawyers who are also "musicians" participated, always having a solidarity purpose.
In 2010, this idea comes to Spain, The first edition was held in Madrid. This year it is organized for the third time in Barcelona, will take place on Thursday, July 4th, at the Razzmatazz Hall. Due to its success, the initiative has been repeated since then.
The Enriqueta Villavecchia Pediatric Oncology Foundation has been working for 30 years to help children and young people with cancer and to offer support to their families throughout the entire illness process.
Among its main programs It highlights social care for families, through accommodation for families displaced due to the illness of their son or daughter and financial aid for families in difficulties, as well as support in social work.
One of its most consolidated lines of work is the organization of activities, outings and trips for children and young people in treatment, which includes, among other proposals, a week of skiing in Andorra for 40 children, trips to Eurodisney, camps in Ireland and Italy, trips to Port Aventura, and rural tourism weekends for families.
Annually, provides care to 450 families in its various lines of work. A specific program is also developed for young people who have overcome childhood cancer and need help to resume their activity, social relationships and personal autonomy, and achieve their full psychosocial integration.
All this work is carried out thanks to the unconditional support of volunteers, which helps the organization in all areas, provides play and companionship to sick children and facilitates moments of rest for their families.
The The Foundation always works in coordination with five reference hospitals, which it helps through the donation of materials, the conditioning of spaces and support for the training and specialization of doctors in the field of pediatric oncology and hematology, with the granting of Training Scholarships for doctors.
Herein third edition of Rock & Law, in Barcelona, A total of six rock bands will participate, made up of lawyers from six law firms and a group of state attorneys: Change Control (C'M'S'), The Rocking Houses (Cuatrecasas), Dealbreakers (Garrigues), Mind the GA_P (Gómez-Acebo & Pombo), The Liquid Band (Junyent Rock), Active Subjects (Uría Menéndez) and Rule of Law (formed by four State attorneys).
