"The work of each of them represents an important contribution to the economic, cultural and social development of this province," has stood out.
Both initiatives were established some time ago four years, during the commemoration of the bicentennial of the Jaén Provincial Council, with the intention of "underlining our identity as Jaén residents and highlighting the wealth and culture of each and every one of the 97 municipalities that make up our province."
Of the people and entities proposed in this third edition of the Jaén Province Awards, Reyes highlighted "the genius and personality of one of our country's greatest and most international singers, Raphael from Linares, who has always been proud of his Jaén and Andalusian origins."
In his more than 55 years of artistic career, Raphael, who has also acted in more than a dozen films, has achieved great success in Europe, America and Asia, as well as on the most prestigious stages in Spain and around the world, and has earned 350 gold records, 50 platinum records and even a uranium record awarded for sales of more than 50 million copies.

In the ordinary session of the next plenary session of the Provincial Corporation, which will take place on March 2, these proposals will be elevated to the III Awards of the Province of Jaén by the Presidency of the Provincial Council, as established in article 18 of the Regulations of Honors and Distinctions of the Provincial Administration.
