During the year <\/span>2018<\/strong> <\/span>all workers of <\/span>Medina Cuadros<\/strong> <\/span>took a specific course of adaptation to the new <\/span>General Data Protection Regulation<\/strong> <\/span>(GDPR), regulations applicable since May 25, 2018.<\/p>\n The staff of <\/span>Medina Cuadros<\/strong> <\/span>distributed by the different offices: Madrid, Ja\u00e9n, Granada, Valencia, Seville, Las Palmas and Santiago<\/strong> <\/span>carried out this training session recommended by the <\/span>Spanish Data Protection Agency<\/strong> <\/span>to all private sector companies to adapt workers to the new regulations.<\/p>\n On May 25, 2009, the new <\/span>Regulation<\/strong> <\/span>(EU) 2016\/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to theprocessing of personal data <\/span><\/strong> <\/span>and to the free circulation of this data, which is one of the most important regulatory reforms at the EU level in this area.<\/p>\n Medina Cuadros<\/strong> <\/span>is very aware of what this means in terms of data processing for the staff and for the benefit of customer security.<\/p>\n The highlights of the course on RGPD for Medina Cuadros employees were the implementation of the <\/span>duty of information,<\/strong> <\/span>the legal basis for the <\/span>treatment,<\/strong> <\/span>the contact with the <\/span>responsible<\/strong> <\/span>of the treatment and the <\/span>maximum time<\/strong> <\/span>during which the data will be retained.<\/p>\n The main new features of the new regulation include, among others, the abolition of the following <\/span>the obligation to register data files<\/strong> <\/span>before the Data Protection Agency, establishing the obligation of an internal registry of personal data processing activities and the creation of the figure of the \u00abData Protection Officer\u00bb. <\/span>Data Protection Delegate,<\/strong> <\/span>to advise the entity on the <\/span>compliance<\/strong> <\/span>of the <\/span>data protection regulations.<\/strong><\/p>\n The new <\/span> GDPR <\/span>provides for a part of citizens' rights, it recognizes the <\/span>\u00abright to be forgotten\u00bb,<\/strong> <\/span>the deletion of personal data concerning him, also called \u201cright to erasure\u201d.<\/p>\n The new regulation eliminates the <\/span>tacit consent<\/strong>\u00ab <\/span>of the data subject to carry out the processing of his personal data, and replaces it with the <\/span>free, express and unequivocal consent at any time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n An important part of the course was aimed at explaining to the staff of <\/span>Medina Cuadros<\/strong> <\/span>the increased obligations of <\/span>information<\/strong> <\/span>that entities are obliged to provide to the interested party, the <\/span>proactive responsibility and risk analysis<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
